Position Overview
This is a new business development role carrying out operational and tactical sales and marketing activities. The sales person will develop and maintain business development campaigns.  Generate new customer partnerships and prospects in order to maximise order intake from the company targeted market sectors. Achieve profitability, contribution and collection norms. Ensure customer satisfaction by achieving delivery & service quality norms. This is a sales role selling into multiple domains.

Responsibilities
  • Sales of Cognizant services across a variety of business verticals in the German speaking part of Switzerland and to selected target clients
  • Take direct responsibility and accountability for the entire process of contact identification to contract signing, in coordination and cooperation with Cognizant local and global structure
  • Identifying prospective clients & creating the go to market plan for the identified territory & understanding of technology and the industry vertical
  • Drive to generate revenues from new and emerging business work jointly with Cognizant local Client Partner(s) to grow the pipeline of opportunities
  • Take direct responsibility for client stakeholder management
  • Assist in the development of marketing initiatives to promote existing and emerging services to the target base
  • To ensure you achieve the quarterly and annual targets, across the mix of all of Cognizant?s business to include the professional services and consulting lines of business
  • Develop in-depth understanding of our services and related solutions
  • Communicate the value the bring in solving business problems
  • Achieve high customer satisfaction and references and case studies to support future sales
  • Generating business from campaigns and plans to penetrate competition accounts new accounts and build a platform to scale these into multimillion dollar engagements
  • Attend and man road shows, seminars and exhibitions
  • Complete necessary internal administration (monthly reports) and prepare appropriate letters/proposals/sales visits documentation for customers
  • Liaise closely with the Cognizant delivery team(s), to provide pre and post-sales support and assistance to customers as required
  • Keep up to date with new supplier products and releases. Develop and manage excellent working partnerships with individual supplier Sales People (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft)


Requirements
  • Strong IT and business network in Switzerland
  • Hunter. Generate leads and convert them into new customers
  • Proven track record in selling service portfolio into new clients
  • Experience in selling services, especially in the areas of solution selling (technology and business) in multicultural environments. This includes the areas of application and infrastructure services, business process services and digital solutions (social, cloud, mobile, analytics, block chain, AI, IoT)
  • Knowledge of domains such as  Technology, Telco, Manufacturing, Retail, Life Sciences, Financial Services  and key drivers
  • Proven track record carrying & achieving multi-million sales quota
  • Understanding of global delivery models
  • Experience working collaboratively with marketing team and internal key stakeholders
  • Understanding of the selling life cycle including demonstrated ability to build/close a funnel/pipeline over an extended period
  • Ability to articulate and evangelize technical ideas and value propositions to the sales and marketing teams for Software products and Services
  • Individual performer who relishes being the primary point of contact to facilitate the pursuit and delivery of consulting to meet customer business needs while achieving consulting orders, business development, and profitable contract negotiation
Other Skills/Abilities
  • Possess Excellent Communication skills and demonstrates proven capability to build relationships at the C level and below throughout sales career
  • Business fluent in English and German
  • Highly organised
  • Analytical and keeps up to date with market and technology trends
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Customer Orientated
  • Consultative sales style, creative thinking with a pragmatic approach
